the complete solution for the hydraulic design and dynamic analysis of pipeline systems

WANDA 3 is an advanced, interactive software package to support the hydraulic design process of your pipeline system. The program is used for the hydraulic analysis of steady and unsteady flow conditions in arbitrary configured pipeline networks. Primary subjects to evaluate and optimise a hydraulic design are flow capacity, velocity, flow distribution, dynamic behaviour, economy, safety and control principles. With a hydraulic design, you can direct the mechanical and process engineering to an effective and efficient system.

WANDA can be applied to a variety of types of pipeline systems, like fire fighting systems, sewer systems, water distribution networks, industrial plants, oil pipelines, water cooling systems, hydropower plants and transportation systems for chemical products.

Deltares’ reputation and decades long experience are a guarantee for the high quality of this user-friendly and powerful simulation software package. WANDA 3 supports your design process and optimisation of complex pipeline systems in a cost-effective, safe and reliable way. Note that WANDA component modelling is based on physical performance testing in the hydraulic flow laboratory of WL and/or on site testing.

WANDA markets
In the years since the introduction of WANDA in 1994, it has been licensed to many well-known companies and it has been used for diverse applications related to:
  • (process) plant piping
  • sewage transport pipelines
  • LPG pipelines
  • long distance crude oil pipeline transport
  • white product conveyance systems
  • oil loading and off-loading pipelines
  • fire fighting systems
  • drinking water networks
  • cooling water systems
  • collecting and distribution networks
  • chemical pipelines

Flows from less than a few hundred litres per hour to well over 50,000 m3/h have been accounted for in systems ranging from small central heaters and hydrocarbon transport to large long distance water transport pipelines.
